week 7 reflection

I have some hestations about this whole concept of individuals sharing every aspect of themselves with the world...reality TV, web casting, bookmarking etc. Sometimes, the things that are my favourites, I wish to keep close to myself, rather than allowing everyone to have access to the central factors that make up my personality. In terms of its use for my library, how different is this concept to the idea of having links at the bottom of a library page?

videos

I have just completed Week 6, which took me approx. 30 seconds since we are not allowed access to youtube. This is a shame for I was keen to have a look at the guy trapped in an elevator for 2 days (as reported on the Channel 10 news). I don't feel I learnt as much this week as other weeks.

wiki

I've just been exploring the Book Lover's Wiki. I think using Wiki's this way gives the public a feeling (in a similar way to a book discussion group) that they can share with other people what they have gained from reading a particular book. I also helps people engage with their library even when they are no physically in it.

Just learned about RSS today. It would be good if updates could go straight into my gmail inbox. Thanks to Ellen at the SL for your help.
